The Supervisory Board of the Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder is the supervisory body. It comprises 16 agency states, each of which delegate a Secretary of State or a Senator respectively from the responsible supervisory authorities (member) to the supervisory board.

The Supervisory Board is chaired by an agency state (chair state) commencing with Saxony-Anhalt. The chair of the Supervisory Board changes on 1 July of each year in alphabetical order. The alphabetical order is continued after Saxony-Anhalt and commences with Schleswig-Holstein. 

The office is responsible for organising the Supervisory Board.

It is located on the site of the Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder in Halle, and is managed by it. It is governed by the instructions given by the chairperson of the Supervisory Board.
