Central files

for prevention of multiple gambling at several operators and deposit limitation (activity file and limit file)

The central files comprise a file for the monitoring of the cross-provider deposit limits (limit file) and a file for the prevention of multiple betting with serveral gambling providers (activity file). The cross-provider allocation of deposit limits to one gambler and the prevention of parallel playing is ensured with pseudonyms that are allocated to the gamblers. The pseudonym of a gambler is stored in the central files by a provider of gambling possibilities when the gambler registers the first time. The provider of gambling possibilities hereby transfers a clear gambler ID that it has stipulated, to the central files, this then being used for ongoing communication. This procedure ensures that no personal data are stored for gamblers and that the responsible gambling authority is unable to access the personal data of gamblers.

The gambling providers are able to access the central files on the basis of certificates that are issued and signed during the license-issuing process. The description of the central files interfaces and the technical requirements regarding the systems of the providers of the gambling possibilities that serve the central files are stated in the ”Technical Guidelines for the Central Files“. This page also includes the email address that is to be used in order to apply for connection to the central files.

General information

The gambling providers can administer a gambler in the central files using the following functions:

  • Register a gambler,
  • Change gamblers data (results in the gambler pseudonym being changed),
  • Change the gamblers ID,
  • Deregister a gambler.

Each of the gambling providers is under an obligation to register a gambler in the central files and this is to be carried out as soon as a gambler opens a gaming account. The deregistration is to be carried out as soon as a gambler deletes his gaming account. When registering a gambler in the central files for the first time, information is also to be entered regarding the cross-provider deposit limit that is to be determined by the gambler.

Limit file

It is the responsibility of the file for the cross-provider deposit limit to enable a cross-provider deposit limit that has been stipulated by the gambler to be adhered to. This comprises the functions:

  • Set deposit limit,
  • Make a deposit,

these having to be used by each of the gambling providers for each of the gamblers that is registered with him.

Activity file

The activity file makes it possible to prevent parallel betting with numerous gambling providers. This comprises the functions:

  • Set gambler status as “Active“
  • Set gambler status as “Inactive“.

As soon as a gambler wants to start gambling, he is to be set to “Active” in the central file. Should the central file report back to a provider of gambling possibilities with the information that a gambler who wishes to be set to “Active” already is “Active,” the provider of gambling possibilities is prevented from enabling the gambler to carry out the desired gambling activity. Each of the gambling providers that has set a gambler to “Active“ is to set him to “Inactive” when requested to do so or 30 minutes after the last input has been made.
